Integrity Matters in South Carolina
For far too long, South Carolina politics has been reserved for the social elite. Deals are made behind closed doors, decisions are announced with no explanation, and it is assumed that the political leaders will always act in the best interest of their constituents. However, after the 2020 election, that narrative began to change. South Carolinians started to question the decisions of their representatives. More individuals quickly lost trust in the political system. It felt like there was no one to turn to, that everyone had been bought off by the ‘good ol’ boys’ of southern politics.
That is why Palmetto State Watch was organized. We believe that no one is above the law, no matter their political or social standing in the state. It is our prerogative to educate fellow South Carolinians on their constitutional rights and current legislative issues. Government was created for the People, by the People, not by the few rich elites. It is time to hold our leaders accountable, uncover corruption, and create a transparent government. We are thrilled to bring the citizens of South Carolina together and form an educated community of like minded individuals. We are so excited for this journey and can’t wait to get started!
